Our late breaking abstract (on pre-clinical research) was chosen as a part of a Media Outreach Press Conference, with four clinical studies. Dr. Agadjanyan represented this work in a one hour conference, entitled ‘A Multidisciplinary Approach to Cancer Detection and Treatment: What’s On the Horizon’, on Sunday, April 18th, 2010. The study outlined in abstract entitled ‘A novel cancer-testis antigen, BORIS based vaccine delivered by Dendritic Cells is effective against metastatic disease’, submitted by IMM research groups in collaboration with various groups (from the UCI Immunology Institute lead by Dr. E. Nelson, from NIAID Immunopathology Lab lead by Dr. Lobannekov, and group from the Institute of Immunology, Russian academy of medical Sciences lead by Dr. Ataullakhanov) has been identified as newsworthy.
